I believe that we are all on our own life path. Life doesn’t always go according to plan, sometimes we need a little focus or footing. Together we will work to identify solutions to your detours, hurtles and obstacles so you can regain your footing and get you back on your life’s path.
My focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. I achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.
I promise to be there for you every step of your journey. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.

My name is Dawn Jancaitis. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. and Licensed Practical Nurse. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in forensics from Bay Path University and a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling with concentrations in trauma and addictions from Cambridge College. I have completed graduate program internships at River Valley Counseling Center and Walden Behavioral Care, as well as undergraduate internships at the Hampden County Correctional Facility and the Gandara Center. I have been employed at both Clinical and Support Options (CSO) and the Behavioral Health Network (BHN), both have given me a well rounded view of mental health in the community, a passion for mental health and a better understanding of my clients.
I am a strong, well rounded, ethical military spouse for over 21 years. I proudly served as a Key spouse for the 439th MXS Squadron At Westover Air Reserve Base, and was nominated as Key Spouse of the Year, leaving only to concentrate on my graduate program . I come from a long standing military family background and served as a care giver for my grandfather, a retired chief warrant officer. I am also a proud mother of two adult children whom struggled with ADHD and two fur kids. I actively act as an advocate for my patients and clients. I have a passion for speaking for the rights of those who are not able to speak for themselves.
I made a career change from nursing to mental health in 2012 when my world came to a crashing halt with my younger brother’s death by suicide. Through my healing processes, I made the decision to help others avoid the pain that my family and I had suffered and assist individuals from feeling that suicide was their only way out. My brother, who was actively serving as a BM1 with the USCG, needed and deserved a psychological evaluation and treatment that he never received. Changing my career path has allowed me to assist other people who might be in his predicament, as well as assisting others to navigate along their life's path.
I continue to further my education to best serve my clients. I am EMDR trained. I continue to further my education to best serve my clients.
